The Voice's Digital Interaction

The television industry has continuously evolved from American Idol, to Americas Got Talent, and now to The Voice, all successful. The biggest part of some of these shows was the idea that the audience could cast votes and potentially changes someones life on their way through the competition. The Voice has wanted to be involved with its audience and really make their show more of a live experience rather than something they might not be able to get into. So the question is what makes the Voices social media so successful and how does it involve their fans? Well if you've ever watched the show they continuously share tweets from fans relevant to the show, not only do fans get to look forward to being featured on the show, the tweets are actually involved in the show. As viewers we all know that these people are extremely talented all with unique voices and backgrounds but sometimes, well maybe its just me, but I feel more inspired and entranced by a specific voice than maybe another. Would any of us want to see our favorite go home? No, the answer is no. So with that being said The Voice created an instant save and all it required was tweeting. Twitter allows for quick posts with limited wording and hashtag. These hashtags brought fans together trying to save their favorite artist to sing another day. It is said that it was "The most successful Social TV integration of all time, encouraging fans to send millions of tweets each season"(The Voice), millions of people interacting with not only each other but The Voice specifically. The Voice alone has five million followers but then you also have to take into account people who are fans of the specific judges like Ariana Grande who has a following of 84.9 million followers bring more attention to the show. The Voice has taken digital media and made it a bond between their audience and the show. By creating partnerships with different media platforms like Snapchat and or their one on ones with fans which offered content created just for them making them feel truly important to the show and its success. The Voice uses their audience to be involved with the show but to also keep it relevant and trending on social media platforms so that people are more likely to stumble upon the name. I think the tweeting could potentially be brought on Instagram as well including doing polls of maybe what songs some people might like to see individuals try and take on and or peoples predictions for who will make it to the end.  Also I believe by bringing more people like Ariana Grande on the show who has the younger generations following her would bring a lot more fans to watch the show simply to see a favorite artist, this would again bring more social media interaction and sharing. Since Tik Tok is now something super popular its a great way for judges to post quick videos and share the behind the scenes and I have seen not only members of Ariana's team posting but also her herself making The Voice seem a lot more enjoyable.
